Special issue
Poisson Geometry in Mathematics and Physics
Poisson geometry is a fast-developing field at the intersection of geometry and mathematical physics stimulated by its connections with differential geometry, Lie theory, quantization, noncommutative geometry, representation theory, quantum groups, geometric mechanics and integrable systems. Applications are found in the theory of geometric phases, string theory, nonlinear control theory, nonholonomic mechanics, locomotion generation in robotics, and planetary mission design.
This Special issue reflects the activity at the Joint CRM-ICMAT intensive research program IRP in Barcelona and Madrid. The two flagship activities of this IRP were the Poisson 2022 School at the CRM in and the Poisson 2022 conference at the ICMAT in July 2022.

Manuscript submission information:
Authors are encouraged to submit an original paper not published or submitted elsewhere to a special issue of Journal of Geometry and Physics (JGP). The submission website for this journal is located at: Editorial Manager®. To ensure that your manuscripts are correctly identified for inclusion into the special issue we are editing, it is important that authors select VSI: Poisson Geometry when they reach the "Article Type" step in the submission process.
The papers should be written in English, carefully checked for correct grammar and spelling. Each paper should clearly indicate the nature o its scientific contribution. Manuscripts should be prepared using LaTeX and followed the JGP Guide for Authors. Submission of a manuscript will be understood to mean that the paper is not being considered for publication elsewhere. Papers that are not prepared according to the above instructions or badly written will be immediately rejected. All papers will be subject to a peer review process.
Important Dates:
- Final deadline for submission: Mar 10, 2023
