Inaugural Colloquium
On Tuesday, February 27th, at 12:00 in the Blue Lecture Room, Wolfgang Lück will give the inaugural colloquium for a general audience.

Abstract: We present an introduction to L2-Betti numbers
including their basic properties, main immediate applications and a
status report. We discuss open prominent problems. If time allows, we
will also treat L2-torsion, a much more sophisticated invariant.
The talk is for non-experts and shall shed light on the forthcoming thematic program about L2-invariants
