Welcome
The purpose of this research term is to bring together researchers interested in different aspects of lattice and ordered structures with a particular emphasis on the point of view of Functional Analysis and its Applications. Topics will cover vector and Banach lattices, Banach spaces, operator theory and phase retrieval, among others. The aim is to stimulate collaboration, especially among younger members of the community.
The research term will take place from 1 April to 15 June 2024 at ICMAT. The activities will include:
- Advanced mini-courses addressed to PhD students and interested researchers.
- Three focus weeks with a special emphasis on discussing open problems in the intersection of different areas:
- Phase retrieval in function spaces (6-10 May)
- Vector lattices and ordered structures (13-17 May)
- Interactions with descriptive set theory (27-31 May)
- Workshop on Banach spaces and Banach lattices (20-24 May)
- Seminar Lattice structures in Analysis and Applications
Participants will have the opportunity of presenting their research in a stimulating environment. Interested participants are encouraged to register and submit title and abstract through the registration form (deadline 31 March).
Funding to cover local expenses of participants is also available (priority will be given to early-career researchers and visitors without other sources of funding). If interested, please indicate so in the registration form.
