There were numerous initiatives that, for another year, were organized around 11th February, the International Day of Women and Girls in Science. The ICMAT joined this day, on this occasion, with a workshop on knots  aimed at high school students, given by the researcher Eva Elduque (ICMAT-UAM) on 10th February at the Institute. In addition, the CSIC+UAM Inter-Centre Equality Commission, in which the ICMAT participates, organized two symposia of women scientists who have recently been recognized with outstanding prizes: the mathematician Maryam Viazovska, Fields medalist 2022, and Carolyn Bertozzi, Nobel Prize in Chemistry 2022.
